Style 120 Fiberglass Cloth with Silane 538 Finish

Satin Weaves > 3.16 oz 120
Style 120 fiberglass cloth is a 4 harness satin weave with a thread count of 60 x 58 ends/inch, uses the yarn ECD 450 1/2 in the warp and fill.  The D glass filament diameter is 5 microns where the similar fabric styles 220 and 2220 use the larger 7 micron E filament.  Style 120 also uses two half weight yarn twisted together.  The smaller filament and twist in the yarn makes a more pliable fabric.  However, even with a more flexible fiberglass cloth by design, the finish on this particular weave can greatly affect it's flexibility.  Drape is the proper term for this flexibility or conformability.  Finishes that we are familiar with in soft to stiff with the softest being the 504 Volan, 497A, 550, 538, CS724 and so stiff the cloth wont hardly form to any contour are the 460 silane and Z6040.  There are demands for the latter finish but are completely unsuitable for anyone doing normal layups or using the 120 as the first layer in mold making.  What is listed on this page is the 120 with the 538 finish.  538 finish is a softened version of the A1100 amino silane for epoxy resins.  We have this in 16.5" widths and 60" widths.  Rolls are rolled on 2" pvc and professionally packed as usual.  Rolls are available in 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 yard rolls for both the 16.5" and 60" wide style 120 fiberglass cloth with the 538 finish.  Shipping is free to the 48 continental United States.
